Alternative Energy Sources With Global Warming becoming a serious threat to the planet, the U.S. needs to reduce its impact and influence by implementing resources for green energy. Things such as wind mills, solar panels, and hydro-power. Our future generations should be able to live in a place where they don't have to worry about the ice caps melting, the sea levels rising, and random floods and droughts occurring.
Gun Control It is your Constitutional right to own a gun. We just want to make sure guns don't fall in the hands of the wrong people. Just last year, there were 40,000 gun-related deaths in the U.S. More extensive background checks are needed in order to prevent this senseless loss of life.
Income Inequality The wealthiest 1% now owns more than 40% of the country's wealth, a higher share than at any point since at least 1962 (WaPo). Income inequality is a major issue in the U.S. and raising taxes on the rich is a logical solution. Taxing the rich does not functionally decrease their quality of life and allows the money to be put back into social programs and help people who are struggling in poverty.
